As next generation networks lead, Communications Service Providers (CSPs) are challenged with continuing to offer customers services they demand, even amidst change.
Recognizing this need, Oracle (News - Alert) announced earlier this month their Service Delivery Platform (SDP) Partner Initiative, aimed at providing expanded solutions for the communications industry. The partner program is aimed at accelerating the development and deployments of communications services on next generation and existing networks.
VoiceObjects, a provider of voice software and a phone application server company is one of the many partners already offering support for this initiative. Announcing today that their support will bring to customers advanced deployment options including the ability to "deploy open-standards-based, revenue generating services in IMS environments," a news release noted.
In the announcement, VoiceObjects also noted the following possibilities provided to telecommunications carriers using the joint VoiceObjects-Oracle SDP solutions:
-implementation of fully integrated carrier portals for cross selling siloed services
-easier integration of billing and other business services
-develop applications using sophisticated development apps used to develop business apps
-easily allow third party development of new services
-low cost associated with commodity computing and telecommunications hardware
"Partnerships will play a critical role in the SDP market over the next several years. A standards-based service delivery platform solution that includes a vibrant partner ecosystem will enable both rapid service deployments and a broad range of new services for operators and consumers alike," commented Shira Levine, senior Analyst in IDC's (News - Alert) nest generation OSS and Billing practice in a statement to the press.
"Communications solutions that combine our innovative phone application server with the Oracle SDP will be ideal for communication service providers seeking to deploy next-generation services in their IMS environments, Beatriz Infante, chief executive officer, VoiceObjects also commented.
VoiceObjects made headlines last week when they announced their VoiceObjects Server is Now Compatible with Nortel (News - Alert) Media Processing Server 500.
