AudioCodes Enables VoIP Connectivity for Polish Operator

AudioCodes' (News - Alert) Mediant 2000 VoIP Media Gateways and 310HD High-Definition IP Phones is enabling high quality, reliable VoIP connectivity and voice peering for Polkomtel’s Genesys (News - Alert)-based IP contact center locations.


All Polkomtel's contact center agents are now using AudioCodes 310HD IP phones for their everyday work.

AudioCodes is a provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products, and Polkomtel S.A., is one of the largest mobile operators in Poland with more than 14 million subscribers.

"AudioCodes VoIP gateways have enabled Polkomtel to gradually migrate their Contact Center from a mixed TDM/PBX (News - Alert) environment into a unified SIP-enabled environment with the Genesys SIP Server," said Richard Barton, director of Product Management at Genesys. "This infrastructure migration is supported by AudioCodes' full product certification and seamless integration with the Genesys SIP Server."

The overall solution at Polkomtel was implemented by Qumak-Sekom, a system integrator in Poland.

Qumak-Sekom recognizes AudioCodes' hardware that completely met all parties' expectations for Polkomtel's project for the gradual migration of its multisite contact center from a traditional telephony system to a next generation IP solution based on the Genesys SIP Server platform using VoIP technology.

Thanks to AudioCodes Media Gateways, the IP contact center infrastructure can interface seamlessly with the PSTN and communicate with the remaining legacy infrastructure.

AudioCodes was in news earlier this month for announcing that they have retested their answering machines detection algorithms, and the program has succeeded in all important areas.

Outbound call centers are high on these Answering Machine Detection (AMD (News - Alert) ) algorithms because the companies can improve their efficiency when they can more easily detect either an unattended call or digital device.
