Highwinds (News - Alert), a provider of content delivery, network and cloud-based IP services, announced the appointment of Mike Padula, Jr. as senior vice president of global sales, Content Delivery and Network Services.
“Mike Padula is a welcome addition to our fast-paced and successful executive team,” said Steve Liddell, president of Content Delivery and Network Services for Highwinds, in a statement.
In his new role, Padula will be instrumental in driving global sales growth for Highwinds' portfolio of solutions for Content Delivery Network (CDN), network and cloud-based IP services. Padula has nearly two decades of senior management experience in the technology space, and a proven track record in sales and channel development for some of the world's most recognized telecoms.
“Mike exemplifies all the attributes we need to build great relationships with our customers and to continue to grow our sales team,” Liddell added. “He's an accomplished visionary leader and is passionate about what we do, making him the ideal choice for our next stage of growth.”
Prior to joining Highwinds, Padula worked with Atlantix Global Systems where he held the position of senior vice president of global sales. Prior to that, Padula spent ten years at Level 3 Communications (News - Alert), where he held a number of senior management positions within the sales organization. Later Padula assumed executive leadership at Level 3 and contributed significantly for the growth of the company. Padula has also held various sales positions at AT&T and BellSouth (News - Alert).
“Highwinds has built a strong reputation for the delivery of CDN, network and cloud-based IP services, and the name has become synonymous with innovation, growth and profitability,” said Padula.
“Among its strengths are its global network, flexible and scalable solutions, in-house software capabilities, and forward-thinking team,” Padula added. “Yet there remains infinite opportunities to be seized and massive growth potential, and I am excited to be joining Highwinds as it stands on this growth threshold.”
Earlier this year, Highwinds announced that Sharedband Technologies have picked services available via its Highwinds System Suite for making a customized network covering multiple locations, services, carriers and formats.
