Thanks to this agreement, Skuku will significantly improve and enhance the quality of voice transmission in an IP environment. Every phone call placed using Skuku’s innovative solutions will enable a PSTN-like experience.

 

Skuku has created a new phone service called, Skuku Roaming, that allows customers to make mobile calls and send text messages over Internet connections using their GSM mobile SIM Card. The company claims that this new service will enable mobile subscribers to drastically cut costs.

 

Powered by the GIPS VoiceEngine, the Skuku solution will now be provided with advanced voice quality features.

Skuku is a USB handset or USB stick which, once a SIM-card has been inserted, requires the user to pay only their local airtime charges when placing and receiving calls from their home country. Skuku’s solutions transform a user’s PC into a personal mobile phone, keeping all of the phone’s features and allowing for low-cost VoIP.

 

In addition, Skuku users can access all the other features of their mobile phone, including contact lists and text messaging. Skuku products enable the placing and receiving of international calls from anywhere in the world at low IP tariffs, while calls made within the network are free between Skuku users.
