Enterprise Content Management Systems and, more importantly, document archives, have long played an important role in business. Today, with digital transformation a priority for businesses across industries, the move from legacy systems to cloud-based storage systems is also underway.  In addition to adhering to legal requirements and providing peace of mind, having a safe place to store and access content is critical to business survival.

In a bid to bring together legacy storage systems of the past with today’s growing cloud solutions, Crawford Technologies and Zia Consulting have announced a partnership. As part of the new agreement, the companies will combine offerings and make it easy for businesses to move to the new web-enabled format for their document needs.

The integration of cloud content solutions with legacy document archives means more easily distributing key documentation to customers, such as bills and invoices, and using the cloud-based format to perform indexing and documentation classification to further streamline operations.

“We look forward to working with Zia in implementing the client-facing efficiencies of our CCM (News - Alert) Gateway solution,” said Ernie Crawford, President and CEO of Crawford Technologies. “The combination of Zia and Crawford Tech’s specific expertise will allow organizations to accelerate their digital transformation initiatives by reducing or eliminating dependence on siloed legacy systems.”

For enterprises still working with legacy systems, most of the content being generated exists on different platforms and in different places, making it difficult for end users to access and utilize them.

Accessibility improvements with the online format are also extended to the blind and those with limited sight or cognitive disabilities. In many industries it’s becoming a legal requirement and can strengthen customer loyalty.

Ryan McVeigh, managing partner at Zia Consulting commented, “We’re thrilled to have Crawford Technologies on board to make it possible for us to connect our existing partners to other commonly used interfaces like Alfresco. Not only will this increase our offerings, but it also means we can create solutions that meet Section 508 and other accessibility standards.”
