TeleSign Brings Two-Way SMS to 84 Countries

TeleSign announced expanded international coverage for Two-Way SMS through its SMS Verify and SMS APIs, allowing businesses to send and receive texts from clients. And is now up and running in 84 countries, enabling global business expansion.


According to eWeek, 80 percent of people utilized texting for business; 90 percent of SMS messages are checked within three minutes as opposed to the formerly popular email forum. TeleSign’s Two-Way SMS, customers are contacted and connected through an instant connection. Instant gratification has reached new heights with millennials as 73.4 percent say they will dismiss a brand in just 10 minutes if the answer desired isn’t given. Based on a report by TeleSign, 87 percent of business leaders believe success is based on capacity to connect with clients through SMS/text messaging, voice, and other cloud communications.

Expanding into 84 countries will grow the market reach for TeleSign and businesses involved, as a whole as the SMS business craze is not going anywhere. The global SMS market is expected to reach $70 billion in 2020, growing at a CAGR of approximately four percent from 2015 to 2020.  Additionally, TeleSign’s method offers a seamless transition for users wishing to utilize SMS messaging by embedding it into new or existing web and mobile applications.
