HeyWire Business, the major enterprise mobile messaging company, recently introduced the Business Messenger, the only self-serve app that successfully meets the messaging needs of today’s business professionals.

Officials said that HeyWire Business covers the industry’s widest range of platforms, devices and enterprise applications.

Users, with the help of the app are able to send texts that come from their office phone number, providing a true “one number” business identity for voice and text alike.

Business Messenger is built on the same cloud platform powering the successful HeyWire texting app, which handles half a billion messages each month.

Versions of the app for smartphones and tablets are available for download in the iTunes and Google (News - Alert) Play app stores. The family of apps also includes versions for Mac and Windows desktops, as well as the first business messaging app that integrates with Cisco’s (News - Alert) Jabber enterprise collaboration solution.

Business Messenger allows people to message easily with both internal colleagues and external contacts.

Professionals can now receive and send messages with anyone, including customers, partners, prospects and colleagues, without needing recipients to download special software or use similar devices. Users simply need to install the app and register with their office phone number.

“Mobile messaging is by no means a new medium for business- its power and immediacy have made it a critical element in the communications mix used by a majority of business people today,” said Meredith Flynn-Ripley (News - Alert), CEO of HeyWire Business, in a press statement. “Our Business Messenger family of apps is fulfilling the long-awaited promise of Unified Communications (News - Alert) for business messaging and opens up new levels of collaboration.”

HeyWire Business’ new app offers various convenient, e-mail-like features to business mobile messaging, including: Co-worker directory, Records Archive, Twitter (News - Alert) Feeds, Auto–Reply and Custom Ringtones.

Recently, HeyWire was recognized with the 2014 “PwC Promise Award” from the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange, which recognizes companies “whose innovative technology solutions show promise to make a significant business impact.”
