Great Lakes Data Systems (GLDS), a provider of billing and subscriber management platforms for communications providers, has announced a partnership with ZCorum to integrate GLDS’ SPG Voice Gateway (News - Alert) with ZCorum’s account management system for VoIP provisioning.

ZCorum offers data and voice provisioning for cable and telephone companies including VoIP providers, helping them optimize resources needed to deliver a better communications experience to their customers.

The integration with SPG voice gateway will enable customers to deploy and provision VoIP devices for several use cases, such as a VoIP call center, virtual office, virtual PBX (News - Alert) and more.

The SPG Voice Gateway is designed to help customers manage the complex Internet environment that comprises e-mail servers, Web servers, access control systems, media terminal adaptors (VoIP), soft switches, gateways, and more.

GLDS’ voice gateway solution is designed to provide advanced service management, and facilitates activation of advanced services via third-party IP Service Provisioning platforms. It does this by passing vital subscriber and service-related data to the provisioning system, which then interprets the data and configures all of the elements involved in the delivery of service to the end subscriber.

The partnership with ZCorum builds on the companies’ earlier working relationship involving the integration of SPG 2.0, explained Julie Compann, president and CEO at ZCorum.

“GLDS’ WinCable product is a very popular billing system, so we’ve been integrated with SPG 2.0 on the data side for some time,” Compann said. “This new project will add integration with our system on the voice side, which we’ll be implementing to support our customers who have now purchased SPG 2.0 for voice.”

“We’re glad to be working with ZCorum on this project,” said GLDS' president Garrick Russell, in a statement. “They have a great suite of services that provide an excellent complement to our billing solution. Direct provisioning from our billing system will allow operators to more efficiently manage 'triple-play' service delivery, and reduce the need for entry into multiple systems.”
