CounterPath (News - Alert) Corporation, a developer of desktop, tablet and mobile VoIP software products and solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with TeleDynamics, a unified communications solutions channel to over 5,000 value-added resellers.

Research firm Gartner (News - Alert) estimates that PC Softphones and Mobile Softphones will experience a compounded annual growth rate of 16.9 percent during 2012 – 2017, and softphones are expected to be a significant device driver for IP communications.

CounterPath’s softphone product suite is comprised of desktop and mobile applications, which enable consumers and business users to make VoIP audio and video calls, send instant messages and manage their presence, all in an single software application. Enterprises also have the option to lower telecommunication costs by integrating softphones over hardphones and by offering seamless access to enterprise features across both desktops and mobile devices.

The newly signed agreement lets CounterPath deliver its cloud-based mobility solutions to TeleDynamics’ VARs, thereby realizing a new revenue stream opportunity with the potential for additional growth in new markets.

TeleDynamics recognized CounterPath for its unique cloud-based managed service offering designed to work in any environment and for any size of customer, saying that the company’s unified communications solutions will be a valuable addition to TeleDynamics’ entire product line.

In related news, CounterPath’s Bria Softphone was recently certified as Citrix Ready-Verified, and TeleDynamics was added as distributor of Syspine (News - Alert) VoIP phone system.
