Iwatsu Voice Networks, a company that specializes in unified communications solutions and a distributor of Esna Technologies (Esnatech) products, announced today the planned release of Enterprise Telephony Office-LinX (TOL) 7.0.
Release 7.0 of Enterprise TOL—a real-time, unified communications solution for large enterprises—is scheduled to launch during the fourth quarter of 2006.
This latest release incorporates two key upgrades:
SIP integration with voicemail – allows Iwatsu’s SIP-ready Enterprise-CS to interface with voicemail without the use of analog or voice cards.
CSTA and TAPI-enabled presence management – lets users view the phone and network status of others in the organization (on and off-site).
“The new enhancements are an exciting step in the evolution of SIP technology," said Don Gant, Vice President of Channel Marketing at Iwatsu, in a statement. “The Enterprise-CS was designed to take advantage of exactly these kinds of advances, and we’re pleased to incorporate them.”
In a recent phone conversation, Gant told TMCnet that the upgrades mean users no longer need hardware to interface between an IP PBX (News - Alert) and the server housing Enterprise TOL. As a result, the solution is both more affordable and more efficient.
In its announcement, Iwatsu also noted the following additions to Enterprise TOL:
- Mobile LINK, a software feature that enables presence management using a PDA
- SoftFax, which digitally processes and manages faxes over an IP network, eliminating the need for fax hardware
- Agent Logging Service, which records and stores calls
If you’re attending Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO West this week in San Diego, be sure to stop by Iwatsu’s booth, #812. Even more information about the company is available on its TMCnet.com channel, Unified Communications.
