Don’t you just hate it when you have to do without your connected devices for even a moment? Imagine, then, the plight that today’s ‘speed conditioned consumers’ face while flying! Rest easy, times have changed, for with airlines scrambling to provide in-flight connectivity, the age of disconnected travel is becoming passé.

Aircell, a trusted brand in airborne communications, is helping to revolutionize business travel with its Gogo Biz technology. One of the first aviation companies to benefit is XOJET. Aircell’s Gogo Biz service, which provides XOJET fliers with a mobile Internet experience while they fly, will now add Gogo Text & Talk service.

Thanks to the new Aircell service, XOJET passengers can actually conduct business meetings in the sky, allowing them to continue from where they left off on the ground.

Gogo Text & Talk is an exclusive new, 100 percent software-based, service from Aircell that allows passengers to use their own smartphones for calling and texting in flight – with their own mobile numbers. This game changing service can be added to any standard Gogo Biz equipment package without additional hardware, weight or installation downtime.

“Aircell’s Gogo Text & Talk service will allow a seamless communications transition from ground to in-flight, maximizing efficiency to the highest degree. This is the future of business aviation, and we are proud to blaze this trail,” said Shari Jones, chief marketing officer of XOJET.

Currently, the entire XOJET fleet of Bombardier Challenger 300 and Cessna Citation X jets will feature Gogo Text & Talk for calling and texting in flight. It will become the first business aviation operator to offer smartphone capabilities on every on-fleet flight in the Continental United States. This service will be available in December 2013.

This is not surprising considering that it is but a natural evolution of XOJET’s ongoing world-class offerings. XOJET says that it is the first and only private aviation operator to enable its entire fleet of Citation X and Challenger 300 jets with complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi Internet connectivity, and the new service is yet another example of the company’s focus on providing the highest level of customer service at every point of the client’s experience.

With Aircell constantly aiming to increase the productivity, safety, and enjoyment of the business aviation travel experience and customers demanding more and more, the sky does seem to be the limit. Or is it?
