Kratos Networks Provides Situational Awareness Across Distributed IT Networks

NeuralStar offers users real-time global views of security and network operations, including NOC (News - Alert) level visibility, automatic redundancy and failover for continuous operations, as well as management capacity for many networks, even disparate networks located across various international locations. The solution is able to monitor event data for network-connected services, ports, devices or applications.
Version 9.6 delivers key enhancements to NeuralStar's application-monitoring abilities in order to help IT users maintain performance levels of core business services, as well as ensure their availability. More specifically, these application management enhancements take the form of Unified Monitoring Centers for Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange, SQL and IIS.
These Monitoring Centers are able to track critical dependencies and help users meet their operational and technological goals. Elements affecting business-service delivery are grouped in a manner that provides unified alarm grids to inform users regarding any alerted event. To this end, key metrics like system responsiveness and application services can be seen in one single view.
NeuralStar's ability to collect different data types and display collected data in customizable dashboards is utilized by these Centers. Each Center can easily be tailor-fit to the exact needs of users, thanks to easy-to-use wizards. Also, large companies are able to utilize more than one Center for each application.
Mike Smith, general manager of Kratos Networks, said that two key enterprise issues-namely the satisfaction of users of business applications and the pressing need to boost productivity-are addressed by NeuralStar 9.6. Enterprises that need to deploy key applications can benefit from NeuralStar's performance management, situational awareness and high-level visualization.
