Tilgin (News - Alert), a provider of multi-play and next-generation broadband solutions, has signed an agreement with telecom solutions provider Global 4 to remotely manage its 15,000 national deployments in the UK with the help of its TR-069 solution.

Tilgin's TR-069 Auto Configuration Server solution tGem will provide Global 4 with a comprehensive remote management platform for all Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) compliant with the Broadband Forum's (News - Alert) TR-069 standard.

Global 4 is a telecom solutions provider for the residential and business market in the UK and handles hundreds of new customers each day. The company selected Tilgin after 9 months of researching the market place for a suitable vendor, and hopes to leverage tGem to improve the speed and reliability of its deployment process.

tGem will address the full life-cycle of residential devices within a multi-vendor context. This includes activation, service upgrade and subscriber care.

Earlier this year Tilgin similarly partnered with Media5 to roll-out TR-069 VoIP solutions to the company’s business customers. Both companies have successfully completed interoperability testing on their respective ACS (News - Alert), tGem and Mediatrix VoIP gateways, and now plan to serve clients who want to roll out fully-managed business VoIP solutions.
