Where Telecom Platform Deployment is Headed in 2012

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

(NEBS)

The term telecom platform deployment refers to multiple types of deployment models, including cloud, virtual, and physical offerings that help get a solution to market. No matter the model, however, it is often quite a challenge to successfully deploy applications, and companies must have the time, money and resources to successfully overcome these obstacles in the shortest period of time possible.

Sandy Bridge is an Intel (News - Alert) architecture that was built to dramatically increase core speed, powering up to 17 percent more CPU processing capability than past Intel processors. And with the introduction of NEI’s (News - Alert) innovative Sandy Bridge-based platform (recently unveiled at the RSA (News - Alert) 2012 Conference), this solution is guaranteed to raise the bar on security in both on-premise and virtual appliance solutions.

According to a blog post highlighted on the telecom platform deployment provider’s website detailing Intel’s newest Sandy Bridge microarchitecture, the innovative solution will also force ISVs and OEMs to continually update their software, as well as the hardware platforms on which they run.

With the Intel Xeon processors now available to be leveraged by companies all over the world, questions abound as to what effect this technology will have on the telecom platform deployment space overall, which applications will see the most advantages, and how Dell’s servers will help to increase efficiency and flexibility.

All of these questions and many more will be answered in an upcoming, not-to-miss webinar sponsored by NEI, Dell OEM (News - Alert) Solutions and Intel Corporation that is taking place on May 15, 2012 at 12 p.m. EDT. On the agenda, Intel will highlight the multiple benefits seen via its new Xeon processor E5-2600 family. In addition, Dell’s OEM Solutions Sales Engineer, Scott Trapp, will delve deep into the capabilities offered by the company’s 12th Generation PowerEdge platforms, and NEI’s VP of marketing, Jeff Hudgins (News - Alert), will cover how to get these new solutions to market quickly while considering deployment challenges such as custom integration, branding, imaging, regulatory concerns, trade compliance and logistics.

Webinar attendees will walk away with an abundance of information about the new Intel Xeon E5-2600 Series Processors, how Dell 12G PowerEdge servers can drive performance, and the four factors to closely analyze when implementing this next-generation technology.
