Telecom Platform Deployment Just Got Easier

By Monica Gleberman, Contributing Writer

(NEBS)

Telecom Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs) have been struggling to keep up with the intricacy and growth of the wireless and mobile Internet markets. Many manufacturers struggle to handle the high cost of the technology, while reserving funds to also research, develop, and grow its products. Many companies have turned to NEI (News - Alert) to provide telecom platform deployment services and expertise that work specifically to help businesses.

NEI has completely revolutionized the telecom platform deployment process. “NEI redefines deployment to maximize revenue and give technology providers a competitive edge. We apply our domain expertise and knowledge of telecom platforms and hardware appliances to solve complex design, integration and deployment problems,” the company said.

Recently, there has been a lot of talk about Intel’s (News - Alert) newest Sandy Bridge processor. Sandy Bridge, a microarchitecture developed by Intel a couple of years ago, enables faster 3D and video processing speeds, as well as increased performance for gaming, high definition videos, and 3D graphics. The newest Sandy Bridge chips, the E5-2600 processor family, raises by up to 60 percent, while using less energy than any processor currently on the market.

Sandy Bridge unifies processors cores, memory controllers, last-level caches, graphics and media processing. The processor’s CPUs are now embedded with PCIe 3.0, which means they are capable of handling twice as much data than ever before.

Such tight integration enables a host of efficiency improvements, which enables businesses that use telecom platform deployments to accommodate the increasing demand for updated applications.

By combining the new Sandy Bridge technology with NEI’s telecom application deployment expertise, businesses will be able to release applications quicker, cheaper, and easier.
