Information services company AOTMP released the abstract of its report, 2014 State of the Telecom Management Industry, which highlights key topics that enterprises may find helpful in terms of the telecom market overall.
The report is broken down into six vendor categories, which includes telecom expense management, to help decision makers strategize, overcome telecom challenges, and select vendors.
"We embarked upon this telecom / IT vendor satisfaction study to assess enterprise perceptions across multiple vendor categories and found some common themes in our research of over 3,000 different ratings," said CEO Tim Lybrook in a statement to the press about the report’s release. "As a leader in the telecom management industry, we are relied upon not only to have the pulse of the industry, but to also share enterprise user experience and feedback in a meaningful way that will assist vendors in meeting and exceeding the needs of their clients."
Telecom expense management (TEM) is a subject that can be a struggle for many businesses. With telecom bills being confusing as it is, running a tight ship and keeping expenses in check can be overwhelming. Decision makers have to cull through data, voice and other services associated with their communication account. More often than not, organizations overlook errors or payment processes, and that’s what leads to errors and gaps.
With TEM, organizations can identify the principal cost drivers and determine saving opportunities in terms of telecommunications traffic as well as detect usage patterns. With this data, decision makers are better able to negotiate contracts and manage telecom usage more effectively.
Considering the importance of telecommunications in the operation of daily business, TEM is a critical business strategy that can provide answers to any and all problems that arise with confusing bills.
Report findings like those from AOTMP can help decision makers wade through the confusion and bring light to this important function of business financial health.
