MDSL (News - Alert) provides Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and Market Data Management solutions helping enterprises gain visibility of their telecom expenses, comprehensive business intelligence and automated business processes.
In a recent development, MDSL announced it has been selected by a major international truck manufacturer to deliver a complete Business Process Outsourced (BPO)/Managed Service to supplement its existing TEM solution.
The client has been engaged in the production, distribution and sale of trucks, buses and construction equipment. It also supplies marine and industrial drive systems. The company will launch the TEM solution across 70 countries in which it operates, in a phased manner over the next two years.
The companies have agreed to move the service to a BPO/Managed Service platform. For this, MDSL has created a dedicated BPO team to support each of the company’s divisions.
Under this partnership, MDSL will integrate Smart TEM solution with the client’s existing SAP (News - Alert)-based ordering platform, to automate the telecom ordering and procurement process. It will also be integrated with incumbent MobileIron Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution delivering centralized TEM and MDM functionality from within a single Smart TEM console.
MDSL has been a long-standing partner of the truck manufacturer, originally choosing MDSL’s IPT-VoIP Off-net Management solution to resolve a charge-back issue with its VoIP network.
In 2009, MDSL was also selected to consolidate the company’s existing TEM provision from three separate vendors, and to deploy its Smart TEM solution as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) across key parts of its European and U.S. operations.
Organizations across the world are turning to third party to manage both their TEM platform and their TEM solution.
Ben Mendoza (News - Alert), MDSL CEO and founder, said, “We are delighted to announce a significant extension of our relationship with another major global brand, particularly one which has been an MDSL client for over five years. We look forward to continuing the partnership, and providing new and innovative solutions to help them manage and optimize their telecoms infrastructure in the years to come.”
