Data-intensive communications like text messaging and mobile e-mail are rapidly exceeding voice-based usage on smartphones and tablets. In turn, mobile operators are changing their pricing plans to charge for every MB of data used. With mobile devices and apps now indispensible tools in business, CFOs are demanding that IT monitor and control usage to trim costs.
FreshBooks, a provider of cloud accounting solutions for small businesses, recently released its new app for the Apple iPhone (News - Alert), which offers expense management, profit and loss reporting and online payment integration. FreshBooks serves more than five million users found in 120 countries.
“The FreshBooks iPhone app was created so that small business owners could have even more flexibility with their FreshBooks account and access it from wherever their work takes them,” said Mike McDerment, FreshBooks co-founder and CEO.
The mobile app offers benefits such as staff and sub-contractors being able to log hours in real-time, attaching expense reports to invoices and sending directly to customers, generating customer invoices using staff timesheets and integrating with PayPal (News - Alert) and getting paid online.
The FreshBooks mobile app is designed to support seamless collaboration among teams and can be accessed anywhere, anytime. It can be used by small business owners in various professions, such as law, marketing, IT and accounting. The FreshBooks iPhone app is available as a free download from the Apple App Store.
“We know that people go into business to pursue their passion and serve their customers, not to learn accounting,” added McDerment. “That’s the difference with FreshBooks cloud accounting: it’s simple, accessible everywhere, and saves small businesses time on their billing.”
FreshBooks is available on all devices; smartphone, tablet, desktop and laptop. It can be accessed at anytime and data is safe and secure and always backed up in the cloud with 256-bit encryption. The app accepts payment by credit card, PayPal or any on another 12 payment gateways. It offers online invoicing, expense tracking, time tracking and accounting reports and taxes.
