The Gartner (News - Alert) Group has listed Symphony Teleca as a “visionary” in the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) quadrant, according to company statements.
The selection of companies for the “Magic Quadrant” is consistent with their vision and their ability to execute, according to a Symphony Teleca press release.
“We believe [our new listing] is a testament to Symphony Teleca’s strong delivery of our communications lifecycle management portfolio of service offerings,” John Gonsalves, Sr. vice president, Global Sales & Marketing, Enterprise Division, Symphony Teleca, said in the press release. “This position will only be bolstered by our growing roster of best-of-breed partners and our expanded global footprint.”
Symphony Teleca has many Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and enterprise mobility clients located around the world.
The company’s TEM solution also provides an on-premise license model, Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)), or as a managed service. Symphony Teleca’s products offer lower costs for customer service, improve asset management and provide visibility for IT and telecommunications costs.
The need for telecom expense management is increasing. Factors include increasing examples of bring-your-own-device to work, as well as more use of smartphones and tablets in business settings. At the same time, according to the company, there are multiple carriers, worldwide markets and diverse rate plans.
Symphony Teleca has 6,100 employees working in 35 offices. They are located in Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas. The company also has more than 200 blue-chip customers, according to a recent statement.
The company was formed when a merger took place between Symphony Service Corp., a provider of product development services for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and Teleca, a supplier of product development services and solutions for mobile appliance Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and telecommunications operators.
“With our recently merged corporate presence, we are well-poised to continue leveraging our technology capabilities to deliver world-class fixed and mobile services including sourcing, ordering and provisioning, inventory and invoice and contract management,” Gonsalves added.
In February and March, according to TMCnet, Symphony Teleca presented products and services during the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) held in Barcelona, Spain.
