iSYS LLC, wholly owned subsidiary of WidePoint Corporation, has been awarded a multi-year contract through the General Service Administrations (GSA (News - Alert)) Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI) Contract with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), with an eight month base period and three option years, to provide wireless Telecom Expense Management Services (TEMS) to the USACE.
Officials with iSYS said that as part of the contract, iSYS would provide a full range of outsourced wireless TEMS under the GSA FSSI contract, in order to reduce costs associated with increasingly complex USACE telecommunications requirements and devices.
"The multi-million dollar award has the opportunity to expand our presence into yet another agency as we continue to demonstrate how our proprietary tools and services reduce expenses while adding capabilities from inventory and asset management to comprehensive reporting,” said Jin Kang, president of iSYS, in a statement.
“By utilizing the GSA FSSI Wireless TEMS contract, the USACE joins a growing list of clients who are already achieving significant savings on their wireless communications costs. In this era of expense reduction and fiscal responsibility, initiatives that are proven to reduce expenses are in demand, and we are glad to do our part to help the government's fiscal situation," said Kang.
iSYS is a provider of mobile and telecom management services and has delivered information technology solutions to U.S. federal, state and local government agencies and commercial clients since 1999.
TMCnet in February reported that a strategic alliance has been announced by WidePoint Corporation and Wackenhut Services Inc. or WSI (News - Alert) . The total security services WSI offers its customers will be expanded through this agreement.
Logical security solutions for identity management and information protection provided by WidePoint will be now included along with the existing technology solutions provided by WSI. WidePoint is a specialist in wireless mobility management and cybersecurity solutions.
