Sage North America has introduced the Sage Payment Boss, a new mobile tool that allows small businesses to get paid anytime, anywhere, by accepting credit cards using a 3G enabled phone and a merchant account.
Using the Sage Payment Boss, small businesses can select Sage Payment Solutions or another merchant account provider to verify all payments on spot thus ensuring that small businesses get paid immediately.
On the processing of a payment, the system automatically delivers an e-receipt to the payee once the transaction is complete. The system also provides small business with a light customer management tool to capture basic customer information, like address, email, and phone number, keeping a handy history of transactions for easy viewing.
Jamie Sutherland, vice president and general manager, Sage Simply Accounting explained that managing cash flow is a major issue for small businesses, however the Sage Payment Boss addresses this issue by providing small businesses with the convenience and flexibility of the Internet, doing it anywhere, at anytime, the way they want.
The Sage Billing Boss and the Sage Payment Boss help small businesses to get paid immediately in addition to helping them track and manage their incoming cash flow in real time, monitor their sales activities and reconcile their credit card transactions with their merchant accounts. This also eliminates the need to maintain paperwork related to sales tracking from the sales process, thus helping small businesses focus on selling.
Laurie McCabe, industry analyst, partner and co-founder, SMB Group said that small businesses need cost effective solutions to help them to stay ahead of the curve and that Solutions like Sage Payment Boss and Sage Billing Boss give small businesses the option of an anytime, anywhere format -- whether on a desktop PC or via a smart phone -- at a fraction of the cost that larger businesses pay for the same capabilities.
McCabe added that Billing Boss is a free service, regardless of how many customer accounts a business adds.
