Loquendo Text to Speech Breathes Voice into As An Angel Virtual Assistants

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

As An Angel, a start up company created in 2001, offers transactional, animated agents used in customer service applications for marketing and communications.

The virtual agents are represented by an Avatar and created using real-time animation technology. They not only look life-like but also move naturally and have facial expressions, like a smile. Now, in addition to being able to understand, they are also able to talk thanks to text-to-speech (TTS) technology from Loquendo.

Because of the cost effectiveness and efficiency provided by the interactive virtual agents, they are increasing in popularity. Their ability to answer questions and free-up live operators to concentrate on more complicated inquires, as well as their ability to help users around a website, help bring the benefits of automated speech applications and self-service interfaces directly to users.

Loquendo's TTS Technology integrated into As An Angels family of assistants allows them to respond more accurately and quickly to questions in an expressive and natural sounding voice and makes navigating through the internet a much more delightful experience for users.

"Self-service interfaces must be easy to use, yet highly effective. The information delivered must be accurate concise and pleasant to listen to," said Rosanna Duce, Vice President of Loquendo.
