Telecom Italia has announced a new gadget that promises to change the home life of users. Uebbi, a touch-screen multimedia home device can follow users around throughout the day and keep them informed about appointments, wake them up in the morning - even play their favorite music.

 

In addition to the array of multimedia Web content delivered via Alice broadband connectivity, the gadget offers audio content that is generated by using Loquendo TTS expressive speech.

 

Widgets to choose from on the gadget include news, sports, weather, market news and more. This information is read out loud to users at the touch of screen using Loquendo's (News - Alert) TTS technology.

 

Loquendo TTS offers natural sounding voices that are expressive and can accurately pronounce words with quality intonation and timbre.
