Speech technologies provider Loquendo (News
), is reaching further into European markets with the announcement that Olga, a new female Russian voice has joined their growing family off TTS voices.
Olga is their first Russian voice and the company has said a male Russian voice will be introduced in 2009.
With the latest addition, Loquendo's family of voices has reached 59 and includes 24 different languages like U.S. and U.K. English, Polish, Mandarin Chinese, German, Dutch, and many much more.
With the addition of the Russian language, Loquendo can offer its partners entry into a number of new and expanding markets in Europe and Asia. According to the company, Russian is spoken by nearly three hundred million speakers as a first or second language.
Just last week, Steven, a new male American English voice was added
to Loquendo's family. This addition brings the number of U.S. English voices offered by the company to five.
Loquendo TTS offers emotional, life-like speech that sounds natural and realistic. With the voices, not only are they able to expand their market reach, they can also provide users with greater choice and flexibility when speech enabling applications including telephony, multimedia and embedded applications for all sectors.
The solution offers features like a User-Driven Unit Selection Tool, predefined and user-defined Reading Styles, Voice Flavors, a customized Voice Creator, among other features.
