Loquendo's Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technology provides tools and solutions for perfected speech capabilities. Today, the company announced the release of version 7.2 of Loquendo ASR including a completely new host of features and functionalities.
Aside from the solutions ability to offer recognition regardless of context or environment and its support for non-native speakers as well as a variety of possible formulations for phrases, ASR now includes faster recognition and strengthened grammar possibilities for more intelligent, automated speech.
Utilizing these new capabilities, the automated call center will become more efficient and effective with faster response, reaction and call times.
One of the defining new capabilities included in the latest version is the ability to recognize a phrase even as the speaker is still uttering it. The new capability called Partial Results Recognition minimizes call times to offer cost savings.
As an example the company notes, "A caller giving their credit card number over the phone doesn’t waste time completing an invalid number because incorrect formulations are identified straightaway."
The new release also features the ability to recognize phrases of unlimited lengths to better serve applications where recognition of longer utterances is needed.
Grammar Caching, the other new feature included in version 7.2, stores grammars for future use instead of removing them completely and needing to learn them again next time. This helps to reduce response times and the length of each interaction.
With this ability, more than one caller can call in with the same request simultaneously and both callers will receive needed information immediately, without a delayed response, since the first callers request will have been in the cached.
Loquendo made headlines recently with the announcement that their ASR and TTS technologies would be integrated into Quatro Rodas Travel Guide website to provide vacation-goers in Brazil with a new, quick and more accessible way to request and receive information.
