Voicebrook, a provider of integrated speech recognition and digital dictation solutions for Pathology, is exhibiting VoiceOver Enterprise at the Association of Pathology Chairs (APC (News - Alert)) 2011 Annual Meeting in Monterey, California.

“We are always searching for new avenues to interact with potential prospects and existing customers in order to educate them about our solutions and hear feedback about their reporting needs in the laboratory,” said E. Bruce Sopko, vice president of sales at Voicebrook.

Originally developed to help the disabled people, speech recognition technology is now being leveraged by multiple industries to reduce the number of live calls; reduce the number of agents, supervisors, trainers and quality assurance specialists that are needed within the contact center; reduce the amount of time an agent needs to remain on a line and more.

For pathology, Voicebrook’s VoiceOver enterprise solution is designed to leverage existing investments in Anatomic Pathology (AP) Systems, through the addition of speech recognition and templating as text input tools.

Company officials said that thanks to seamless integration, users have easy access to speech recognition technology and digital dictation from within existing applications.

While combining the power of voice, templating, and input devices -- designed for assistants’ environment and workflow -- assistants continue to interact with existing AP and Digital Imaging systems. Moreover, VoiceOver Enterprise integrates directly with all the major AP systems. Company officials said that Voicebrook’s software leverages the Dragon Medical speech recognition platform and also provides the flexibility for users to select between front-end speech recognition and traditional transcription workflows.

In related news, a highly prominent speech recognition solution provider, Loquendo (News - Alert) offers speech recognition software, Loquendo ASR, which guarantees high performance even on large-scale vocabulary speech, whether using speech grammars or statistical language models. All this enables a dialogue with the user which is simple and natural, according to the company.
