IVONA Text-to-Speech, global speech technology provider has collaborated with I6NET, provider of IP/3G telephony IVR/IVVR solutions for Asterisk, to introduce new IVONA Text-to-Speech connector to the VXI VoiceXML (News - Alert) browser for Asterisk platforms.

Company officials said that the customers, with VXI, can access IVONA high-quality TTS voices to send and receive voice and video messages, listen to phone podcasts, newspaper articles, etc.

Advanced voice and video services, including protocol conversion, SSML, media conversion and streaming, application logic and third party integration are provided by the VXI high-optimization integration with Asterisk (News - Alert). It is compatible with all devices supported by Asterisk.

IVONA TTS voice is available in various languages including: British English, American English, Polish, German, Spanish, American Spanish, Romanian, French, with many more coming soon.
