Loquendo, a provider of speech technology solutions, announced a collaboration agreement with Ksenia Security, an Italian provider of anti-intrusion systems.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ksenia Security will make Loquendo's (News - Alert) advanced Text-To-Speech (TTS) engine available through their own distribution network with the support of a dedicated USB memory stick, company officials said.
“We're excited about this agreement with Loquendo, who are known in the speech technology sector for the excellence of their products and solutions,” said Raffaele Di Crosta, president and CEO of Ksenia Security, in a statement.
According to Crosta, the partnership also enables the company to offer professional solutions for their voice announcement systems to all selected Ksenia installers, with a choice of male of female voices.
The agreement enables qualified Ksenia installers to easily write the message texts for programming the latest anti-intrusion control panels in the ‘lares’ series and in the ‘gemino’ GSM/GPRS communicator series. These texts will then be automatically converted into spoken messages using Loquendo's synthetic speech, selecting the desired language and voice from the many available, company officials added.
"Thanks to this partnership with a leading company in the sector, Loquendo expands its presence in the security and home automation markets," said Alessandro Martino, Loquendo’s VP of Sales Italy and MEA, in a statement.
"Ksenia is committed to technological innovation to offer pioneering, state of the art solutions, able to guarantee its clients maximum security as well as exceptional versatility," Martino added.
Ksenia Security designs and creates unique and sophisticated solutions for Professional Security. The company is in rapid expansion and has found particular success across Europe in the Anti-intrusion Security and Home Automation sectors.
The company has been nominated, with two different products, for the SAFETY and SECURITY AWARDS at the 2010 Security Trade Show in Milan, under the ‘Innovation and Friendly’ section.
Loquendo provides a complete range of speech technologies for server, embedded and desktop solutions – in 30 languages with 72 voices, and constantly growing. Important products from the company include Loquendo TTS, Loquendo ASR, and Loquendo Speaker Identification and Verification.
Most recently, Loquendo announced a new iPhone (News - Alert) application that allows users to translate text in one language to speech or text in another.
