To bring even greater speech capabilities to customers, speech technology provider Loquendo (News - Alert) has announced the completion of successful interoperability testing of the Genesys Voice Platform with Loquendo’s multilingual speech engines.
With the new interoperability, Genesys (News - Alert) (News - Alert) is able to provide customers utilizing their applications with advanced speech capabilities offered by Loquendo including Text to Speech (TTS) and Speech Recognition (ASR) technology.
Genesys offers technologies such as CTI
and intelligent routing. The Genesys Voice Platform supports both speech recognition and touchtone interfaces for greater flexibility in building applications.
The interoperability testing, which was conducted for both IP
and TDM-based integrations for the GVP 7.2 MR1 and the Loquendo Speech Suite version 7.0, was approved by Genesys Product Management to support Loquendo implementations on the GVP.
According to a press release, "The interoperability between the GVP 7.2 MR1 and Loquendo TTS and ASR connected through a client-server architecture, is based on the quick and easy-to-use remote access features provided by the Loquendo Speech Suite and by the MRCP standard protocol."
Loquendo TTS features an 'emotional' component and their Loquendo ASR engine offers the ability to create complex multilingual services with almost unlimited vocabulary size and interaction flexibility.
Loquendo was recently awarded, "Market Leader - Best Speech Engine," at the 2007 Speech Industry Awards.
The award honors companies whose speech recognition product leads the industry in speed, accuracy, reliability and looks to text-to-speech, speech-to-text, speech search, IVR
and speaker verification capabilities.
According to a news release, Loquendo was ranked high by analysts for its deep research and natural sounding voices over other vendors.
