Nuance and Vangard Voice make it Easier to Speech Enable Business and Mobile Applications

As "hands free, eyes free" increasingly becomes the standard for functionality and productivity, Nuance (News - Alert) Communications and Vangard Voice Systems are offering developers a faster and easier way to speech enable enterprise mobile and business applications with an OEM agreement announced recently.
 
As per the agreement, Vangard Voice Systems will market voice recognition solutions from Nuance integrated with their AccuSPEECH SDK for speech enabling eForms Applications.
 
AccuSPEECH SDK uses a graphical interface to make it easier to develop and modify speech applications. To further enhance the accuracy of voice and data input, Nuance's VoCon 3200 and RealSpeak Solo 4.0 are also now included.
 
VoCon 3200 from Nuance is a speech recognition engine used to provide high definition accuracy for command, control, safety and convince. RealSpeak Solo 4.0, a text-to-speech solution that converts text into high quality speech, makes it easy to quickly speech enable systems.
 
According to a news release, "Companies in the transportation, distribution, logistics, healthcare, public safety, government and other markets are turning to the "hands-free, eyes-free" productivity that speech applications can provide."
 
Bob Bova, CEO Vangard Voice commented in a statement to the press, "The availability and integration of Vangard Voice and Nuance solutions provides enterprises the ability to quickly and effectively deploy high productive, high quality recognition, business critical speech based applications,"
 
Nuance Communications also made news recently with the launch of a new SpeechAttendant product suite for enterprise users. The solution provides enterprises with 25,000 or more directory listings with a voice search engine for auto attendant and directory services and enhanced applications for boosting employee productivity, self-service communications and business continuity.
