Flexera, Polycom Explore NFV and Software Monetization Trends at ITEXPO

The telecommunications industry is rapidly expanding and diversifying as consumers demand new technologies to enhance their services. By obliging, companies can enhance the experience they are able to deliver customers, offering a greater number of communications and service options, all of which feature upgraded quality, connectivity and collaborative opportunities. At the same time it benefits the customer, adding new technologies can also bring telecom businesses into the modern age, ensuring that they profit from their network function virtualization (NFV) strategies through the use of software monetization solutions.

These rising business and technology trends impacting the telecommunications industry are pushing innovation forward, but it is also creating some strain along the way. Feeling the thrust of these trends, service providers pressure their network equipment providers into transitioning from purely physical solutions to a combination of physical and digital solutions. This transition doesn’t just impact the equipment provider, but the service provider - as well as the enterprise customer.
