iAXCESS to Deliver Symantec ExSP Solutions in the Middle East

iAXCESS announced last week that it had become an official provider of Symantec's (News - Alert) ExSP Licensing program in nine Middle Eastern countries. The benefits of the program that stand out the most are its flexibility and monthly subscription plans.


The ExSP program is designed as a service for middleman providers to offer their clients. It includes many important features like archiving, backup, recovery, encryption and security.

ExSP gives customers access to these features on a pay-as-you-go basis, helping them avoid high upfront costs that come with any new software solution. This also helps ExSP partners like iAXCESS, since they do not have upfront costs from having to purchase a block of licenses in advance.

Symantec offers a similar cloud-based program called the Symantec.cloud Partner Program. This SaaS (News - Alert) solution offers most of the features found in ExSP.

UAE-based iAXCESS provides IT security packages in various parts of the Middle East. Its goal is to become the go to company in the region for information and communication solutions technology. With the ExAS program, its target market will be phone and mobile communications companies as well as ISPs.

Symantec offers an extensive partner program for businesses seeking to provide security and backup solutions to clients. These programs include reseller; integration and certification; global partnerships and small and medium business programs. Becoming a partner requires completion of specializations in areas like archiving, data loss prevention, encryption and security. The master specialization program offers an advanced levels of training.

With the ExSP program, Symantec has addressed a segment of the market that may have been previously underserved, the small and medium sized business. Almost anyone in business uses some kind of technology in their work and therefore has security, backup, data protection and other needs that Symantec and its solution providers like iAXCESS offer.

The problem for a long time has been that while these companies had such needs, there were not many practical options for them without needing to make a large initial investment. With its flexibility, ExSP gives resellers an opportunity to reach more customers and for those customers to get the same benefits of an enterprise level solution, without killing their cash flow.
