Talend, a major player in open source data management software, and
Netezza Corporation, the global player in data warehouse, analytic and monitoring appliances, have entered into a partnership to deliver ideal data management solutions to the market.
Officials with Talend said that as part of the partnership, the company and Netezza (News - Alert) have developed a certified integration solution that combines the company's unmatched open source data management products and the Netezza TwinFin appliance.
Company officials said that the agreement extends the tight collaboration between the two companies to include the latest upgrade to TwinFin version 5.0, announced today at the Enzee Universe User Conference.
Talend's open source data management solutions empower Talend's users and customers to streamline and reduce the complexity of their critical data management projects, resulting in higher productivity, lower operational costs and greater insights into their vital informational assets.
Company officials said that by providing connectivity to the Netezza TwinFin system, the Netezza appliance that sets the standard for price/performance for data warehousing and business intelligence (BI), Talend is extending the value for its customers in deriving value out of the data assets within the industry's leading databases.
Under the partnership, the companies will continue to collaborate on sales, marketing and product integration.
"Talend is a recognized leader in the data management space and their solutions scale to address the highest data volumes and complex processing challenges, which is critical for our enterprise customers," said Matt Rollender, director of strategic and technology alliances at Netezza, in a statement.
Rollender said that this partnership, and Talend's rapid development of the TwinFin connector, further supports Netezza's commitment to enhance enterprise-scale data integration deployments.
"The critical heart of Lunexa's data management projects is Talend Integration Suite," said Jagrit Malhotra, partner at Lunexa, LLC.
Malhotra said that with Talend's TwinFin connector, users will now see improved speed, simplicity and capacity for handling large volumes of data.
"The industry is clamoring for cost optimization of data management, of which data integration and data warehousing are the most important aspects," said Vincent Pineau, general manager of Americas for Talend.
Pineau said that together with Netezza, the company is meeting this demand at significant price and performance advantage over alternative proprietary solutions.
He said that any organization seeking to gain competitive advantage through superior management of its critical information assets should evaluate the combined Netezza and Talend solution.
