Alianza (News - Alert) and WinCable have teamed up to create a cloud-based voice delivery and back-office solution. Alianza has integrated its Cloud Voice Platform with the WinCable offering from GLDS, and a U.S. cable provider is already taking advantage of the platform to provide next-generation VoIP services.
GLDS specializes in billing, customer management and provisioning systems for small-to-medium-sized global broadband providers. The integrated offering helps simplify VoIP management and lowers costs, making it easier for providers to deliver value-added, cloud-based voice services.
The new combined offering handles voice service delivery as well as back-office functions like account creation, number activation, billing and customer care. The solutions lets service providers enter and retrieve subscriber information and provision services through a single platform, supported through APIs for flow-through provisioning. This helps improve operations while keeping costs down.
“We believe that the lowest cost and most agile approach to broadband infrastructure can be found in the cloud,” said GLDS president, Garrick Russell. “The partnership and proven integration with Alianza will make it easier, faster and less expensive for small and large service providers to deploy and manage VoIP.”
Alianza’s Cloud Voice Platform features wholesale carrier services as well as local exchange capabilities and PSTN connectivity options. The company hosts and manages the entire offering so that service providers need not build and run their own networks. VoIP services are delivered via a SaaS (News - Alert) model, and Alianza also delivers call detail records to WinCable to enable customers to accurately bill and invoice their subscribers.
WinCable provides PC-based billing and subscriber management specifically geared toward broadband service providers. The application works in both Windows and Linux and can support up to 20,000 subscribers in the standard version with support for up to 300,000 subscribers available in the enterprise version.
The cable provider using the new integrated solution reports being able to eliminate more than half the systems it was previously using to deliver and support VoIP. The service provider has also automated workflow to reduce costs and pave the way for future growth and expansion of services.
