Voiceware softswitch phone system software from PhoneSuite is now interoperable with the Uniden EXP1240 SIP DECT (News - Alert) Cordless Mobility Solution.
A subsidiary of Japan-based Uniden Corporation, Uniden America is a manufacturer of wireless consumer electronic products. The company’s Uniden (News - Alert) SIP/DECT phones are ideal for a range of markets including hospitality and retail.
Uniden phones can be easily configured directly with the Voiceware system and the EXP1240 platform can support up to 200 cordless users per network segment.
Both companies worked together to ensure this configuration was easily made possible.
“Uniden worked alongside our team as they moved into the SIP DECT mobility marketplace,” said PhoneSuite president Frank Melville. “Uniden has a great product, and we enthusiastically welcome them into the PhoneSuite technology partner ecosystem.”
Uniden’s EXP1240 mobility platform can support roaming on up to 40 DECT Access points and the company claims this is accomplished with zero interference with other wireless networks.
Only one access point can support about 30 cordless handsets per access point with eight simultaneous conversations.
“Uniden America Corporation is excited to be joining the PhoneSuite community with our Enterprise class EXP1240 SIP DECT Mobility platform,” said Brett Morrison, vice president of sales and marketing for Uniden’s Business Communication Systems.
Uniden SIP/DECT phones can support up to four lines and include a range of features such as multiple codecs and over the air synchronization.
These devices also include a wide-band 2-way speakerphone and an integrated site survey tool for simple wireless setup.
PhoneSuite was in news last year for announcing a new legacy link for a large installed base to its Voiceware hotel phone system. The link allows Voiceware to drive analog phones on certain hotel platforms such as the PhoneSuite 112e.
The Voiceware legacy link is popular amongst hotels that want new voicemail, call accounting, administrative feature phones, console with reduced footprint.
