Tadiran Telecom Chooses Barry Slyper to Lead its National Sales Team

By Patrick Barnard, TMCnet Assignment Editor

VoIP softswitch maker Tadiran (News - Alert) Telecom, which has been making strides to bolster its sales and marketing efforts in recent months, has promoted Barry Slyper to the position of National Sales Manager.

Slyper, who has more than 20 years experience in telecommunication sales management training and managing sales teams, will report to recently-appointed CEO Zeev Rubinstein and will actively manage Tadiran’s sales staff.

In a press release, Tadiran officials said Slyper’s familiarity of the reseller business model and his knowledge of the industry make him an excellent choice for leading the company’s sales activities.

Slyper began his new role on January 1, 2008. Tadiran is reportedly seeking someone assume to assume his regional responsibilities in the South Eastern U.S.

Tadiran made news on TMCnet in November when it announced that it had signed a contract to use the consulting services of KickStart Alliance, a team of sales and marketing executives which helps technology firms develop and launch successful sales and marketing campaigns. More specifically, Tadiran, which provides communications solutions to enterprises, including the most advanced VoIP softswitches available on the market, will be using the services of Janet Gregory, co-founder of KickStart and former VP of sales for telephony solutions company ShoreTel.

This followed the company’s announcement in October that it had launched a new loyalty incentive program for its reseller partners, as well as two new co-marketing advertising campaigns that will help its partners in grow their revenue. Dubbed “Accelerate for Success,” the new incentive program offers incremental bonuses for each reseller's staff, including certified technicians, sales persons, sales managers and owners. Rewards include trips, cash rewards and Tadiran merchandise. Resellers will also receive sales and marketing support, as well as training materials designed to maximize each members’ business. They will also receive information on the latest sales promotions and product information to help them promote and sell Tadiran’s solutions.

Tadiran also made news on TMCnet in December when it announced that it had signed an agreement with HCL Infosystems, one of the country’s leading IT companies, which will enable HCL to resell Tadiran’s business communications system to companies of all sizes. That means HCL now distribute, install and maintain Tadiran’s FlexiCom and IPx family of IP enterprise solutions to business customers in India.
