BlueNote Networks (News - Alert) recently won 2007 Product of the Year Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine for its SessionSuite Presence Service.
The SessionSuite Presence Service is a set of software-based capabilities that allows enterprises to rapidly add contextual call routing
to everyday business applications and processes. By leveraging this information, enterprises intelligently direct business calls based on dynamic attributes, such as a user's availability, role, spoken language, or activity. The solution thus significantly improves employee productivity and increases customer satisfaction.
By using presence information, BlueNote Networks’ SessionSuite Presence Service routes calls automatically as part of a business process. The solution delivers features normally only found in expensive call center applications to everyday phone users at a fraction of the price. The existing IT Web development staff can leverage high-level Web Service APIs, to quickly and easily complete the integration into business applications.
According to Bern Elliot, Research VP, Gartner (News - Alert), an ability to offer presence capabilities via high-level Web Service APIs is an important feature because it allows presence capabilities to be integrated easily into software applications and business processes.
Elliot said in a statement that the presence information can then be leveraged to automatically route calls as part of an application, giving contextual routing features to ordinary business functions.
Each year, INTERNET TELEPHONY recognizes the most innovative products by bestowing this prestigious award to the most deserving companies. The editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY select the companies that demonstrate the vision, leadership and attention to detail that are the hallmarks of the prestigious Product of the Year award.
