Technologies and Voxbone (News - Alert) SA have come together to extend the reach of carriers' SIP-based applications to subscribers around the world. Voxbone Network will bring this worldwide presence to IVR Technologies' (News - Alert) service provider customers with its interoperability functionality, by providing local access and toll-free numbers in 5,000 cities. ‘Local’ availability means that callers in the areas of these DIDs pay almost nothing for these applications.
Talking SIP (News - Alert) provides intelligent and in-demand applications. Acting as a gateway from the PSTN to Talking SIP
, Voxbone can assign large blocks of numbers in many countries, and forward incoming calls to the carrier's infrastructure. This attracts customers, drives revenue, and reduces turnover through innovative features, creative billing options, customizability and end-user empowerment.
The advanced platform from IVR combines application, media, real-time billing, location/registration and Class 5 services into one close knit server. These are five traditionally separate network elements that are combined for SIP-based voice-over-IP
networks.
Carriers, ITSPs, calling card operators, call centers and other businesses around the world can have virtual phone numbers from a single source, with a rich API
for real-time provisioning and integration to third-party management tools.
There is no need for a T1 in each country, or a need to know anything about TDM with this service. There are no per-minute fees; customers are charged on a monthly basis, with unlimited inbound calling. Businesses can share the capacity for all their virtual phone numbers on one common trunk.
Barry Sher (News - Alert), vice president of Business Development, IVR Technologies, Inc. said, “With the local presence provided by Voxbone, and Talking SIP's innovative and in-demand enhanced services, providers can now grow their subscriber base and drive additional revenue to their network while avoiding the capital expenditure as well as the engineering and regulatory overhead of setting up their own local points of presence.
Sebastien d' Ursel, sales and marketing director of Voxbone SA added, “With our network of local and toll-free numbers, a carrier's information line, calling card, voice mail and even its call terminations are made accessible to most of the world's wired and wireless PSTN phones.”
IVR Technologies Inc. develops software for IP-based enhanced services and real-time billing solutions. Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Voxbone SA is a provider of local telephone numbers and VoIP
transport to communications service providers and businesses over its own private intercontinental VoIP network.
