Sagem-Interstar Demos XMediusFAX FoIP Solutions at ILTA

By Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor

As the global innovator in boardless SIP/IP fax, Sagem (News - Alert)-Interstar will be hosting an exhibit at the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) conference in Grapevine, Texas, August 25 – 28, at booth # 827.

The theme for the event is “Global Perspective, Peer Advantage,” conveying the message that attendees, regardless of size or location, will gain something from adopting a global perspective and benefit from meeting with peers and other exhibiters.

This four-day event will feature educational content across 26 tracks and is universally regarded as the place to further professional development, learn from peers and make valuable connections.

In addition to the structured educational experience, attendees will be able to explore an exhibit hall featuring over 150 key vendors to the legal market, which will offer numerous networking opportunities. The educational content is entirely peer-developed and is based on feedback from ILTA members.

At the ILTA show, Sagem-Interstar (News - Alert) will demonstrate how its XMediusFAX FoIP (Fax over IP) solutions address Unified Communications (UC) and IP telephony challenges in the legal sector.

Law firms that rely heavily on fax, such as Atlanta-based Arnall Golden Gregory LLP, (case study: http://www.sagem-interstar.com/customers/legal/agg_e.htm) are serving clients more effectively and cost efficiently by deploying Sagem-Interstar’s XMediusFAX FoIP solutions.

Arnall Golden Gregory (AGG) has helped many growing enterprises turn legal challenges into business opportunities with guidance on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets financing, joint ventures, litigation, and other legal services. Electronic communications and data exchange are critical to the firm’s ability to serve its clients effectively. AGG’s nearly 200 employees rely on faxing to transmit these documents quickly, securely and confidentially.

AGG briefly considered an eFax-like service, but it was too expensive based on AGG’s anticipated fax throughput. Turning to Sagem-Interstar, AGG was very impressed with the XMediusFAX T.38 FoIP solution, which minimized their telecom expenditures.

“XMediusFAX leveraged our current Cisco (News - Alert) VoIP infrastructure,” said Paul Grulke, director of information services at AGG.

In April, the ILTA published a white paper on Unified Communications (UC), for which Sagem-Interstar contributed an article entitled, “FoIP in Your UC Rollout”. The article focuses on how legal firms can benefit from deploying Fax over IP (FoIP) as part of their UC strategy. FoIP is one more way to ensure that seamless communication technologies are in place to enhance collaboration and reduce costs.
