Thomas & Betts, a designer and manufacturer of electrical products such as connectors and conduits for the construction, industrial and utilities markets, has chosen to implement IntelliChief document management products to streamline their processes while eliminating paper.
IntelliChief document management products are designed and developed by IntelliChief LLC, a provider of enterprise-class document management and workflow solutions. The company aims to help users create, capture, manage, archive, retrieve, and distribute mission-critical documents directly from their familiar ERP screens, eliminating the need for filing cabinets, storage facilities, analog fax machines, copiers, and paper files.
Considering the benefits of digital documents, Thomas & Betts decided to go paperless.
Ken Anderson, vice president at IntelliChief, said in a statement, "Manufactures require tight control of documents and records, and IntelliChief will greatly improve Thomas & Betts' ability to remain complaint with even the most stringent regulations while increasing efficiency, accuracy and security of critical information. In addition, through the elimination of paper and the automation of processes, Thomas & Betts can expect a return on investment for IntelliChief in less than 12 months."
IntelliChief document management products look to help Thomas & Betts improve operational efficiency by storing documents electronically for easy retrieval from any desktop. In addition, IntelliChief solution integrates directly with their Infor application, reducing the manual effort needed to manage the paper overload.
It also eliminates the cost of paper, toner, printers and most importantly the cost of storage of those paper documents. Thomas & Betts will be able to pull data from their ERP system to index documents correctly with an unlimited number of index fields. The company will also gain the ability to store documents in a centralized archive with highly-customizable document retention rules.
