While carrying the famed features of its previous generations systems, this new generation systems come equipped with several new features such as a customizable user interface, standard Searchable PDF (OCR) and Scan to Office Open XML capabilities.
Canon has also taken security more seriously with this new series. While many security features were only offered as options in prior series, such features now come standard.
