RSSBus, a provider of software components for communications, security, and e-business, launched Salesforce Data Provider for ADO.NET.
ADO.NET (News - Alert) is a set of computer software components used to access data and data services. It is a part of the base class library that is included with the Microsoft .NET Framework. The .NET Framework is Microsoft's (News - Alert) comprehensive programming model for building applications.
In a press release, the company clarified that its Salesforce Data Provider for ADO.NET gives developers the power to easily connect and perform CRUD (create, read, update and delete) operations on .NET applications to Salesforce.com (News - Alert) data including Leads, Contacts, Opportunities and Accounts.
Eric Madariaga, director of Marketing at RSSBus said, “Organizations are movbgvbing to Cloud Services and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions as they attempt to reduce costs, increase agility, and outsource IT infrastructure. This has created a variety of integration challenges as developers need effective ways to connect to and surface critical business data.”

With the Salesforce Data Provider for ADO.NET, developers can simply DataBind to data, just like using SQL Server.
Key features of Salesforce Data Provider for ADO.NET mentioned in the press release are; Smart Caching technology that offers a highly responsive data access layer for applications, both on and offline; API Leveling - Provide a consistent experience when working with any applications, databases, and services through a standard ADO.NET interface; Secure Connectivity which includes enterprise-class security features such as TLS/SSL data encryption for all client-server communications. Above all, it is said to be a 100% fully-managed ADO.NET Data provider written in C#.
This new offering from RSSBus (News - Alert) is priced from $599.
