According to NBC Los Angeles, “During the outage, firefighters received at least five calls reporting people trapped in elevators at hotels, including the Anaheim Carriage Inn, Anaheim Desert Inn, Best Western and Hyatt.” Riders at Disneyland also reported getting stuck on attractions during the outage because workers had to reset the rides. Anaheim Public Utilities reported that 4,400 customers lost power during the outage. Disneyland only lost power initially before backup generators kicked in, but surrounding areas were blacked out for about 40 minutes.
