When it comes to protecting your power, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can prevent downtime, keep all systems going, and ensure that business goes on as usual. Of course, because a UPS is a piece of equipment that is not at all invincible, protecting the item that protects you is something that shouldn’t be forgotten, especially since this is an investment for both you and why you use it.

Using power protection equipment can save institutions thousands in costly damages due to outages as well as keeping things running smoothly and efficiently in the event of an interruption or total outage. According to Minuteman Power Technologies, adding a warranty means you can worry even less.

Warranties are good in that they are insurance for the things you buy, and while you hope to never have to use them, in the instance that you do, you’ll be glad you invested in one.

When it comes to what keeps you connected, you should always have warranties in place on anything critical to the operation of your business:  servers, firewall, switches, VIP computers, and yes, even your UPS. Having a warranty means it can sometimes be repaired or replaced in under 24 hours at no cost to you though times vary by manufacturer, depending on the product or device. This helps ensure your business gets up and running quickly while minimizing unexpected costs.

Extended warranties will also ensure that your financial investment is protected. Since many businesses live on a budget it is a good idea to put forth the funds when you have them so that you will not be caught short in the future should something go wrong with the device and you will have to get it fixed.

Some warranties have a bad rap, and it would be foolish to suggest in not investing in an extended warranty. You do want to shop for the best deal and consider warranty, service and support as part of the overall value proposition.

Minuteman simplifies the process, with two standard and two extended plans to choose from that will fit any budget.

If you take the necessary steps to protect your power, it would behoove you to take the extra step and protect the one thing that’s protecting you.
