Power protection and uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) are very important in today’s highly digital world. With this agreement, Orion is hoping to increase its presence in key data, communications and security markets. As BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policies in companies increasingly become the norm worldwide, companies will be similarly relying on cloud and physical databases to support these mobile devices. Needless to say, they will need reliable protection for both the power supply and the data supplying their organizations.

Orion supplies multiple protection schemes for organizations of all sizes for noncritical and mission-critical applications with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), network management and power distribution units. The UPS and surge protection it offers can be used in many different industries to support their data closets, phone systems, security applications and servers. Meanwhile, Allied Electronics is a trading brand of Electrocomponents PLC, a global player with high service distribution of electronics and maintenance products headquartered in England.
