Softswitch provider Veraz Networks, Inc. announced today that Sirius Communications has chosen to deploy its services using two of Veraz’s switching products.
The initial deployment, using Veraz’s ControlSwitch and I-Gate 4000 PRO media gateways, will include installations in New York and Los Angeles. With these cost-effective solutions from Veraz, Sirius plans to stay competitive in the rapidly growing wholesale VoIP switching market by expanding domestically and internationally.
Switching to Veraz’s products also allows Sirius to streamline its operations, creating a centralized, automated, and software-driven network.
"[W]e selected Veraz based on their ability to improve our bottom line and improve our future growth potential,” said Chris Edgecomb, CEO of Sirius Telecom, in a press release. "We are excited to have a true Next Generation Switching platform that will scale with our business plan.”
