Wildix, Signate and Core Telecom Innovations Commit to Sangoma

By Cindy Waxer, TMCnet Contributing Editor

An increasing number of companies looking for reliability, improved system performance and enhanced system compatibility are turning to Sangoma Technologies Corporation. A provider of connectivity hardware and software products for VoIP, TDM voice, WANs and Internet infrastructure, Sangoma (News - Alert) announced today that Asterisk (News - Alert) and Open Source Telephony companies, Wildix, Signate (News - Alert) and Core Telecom Innovations have opted to standardize on Sangoma PCI and PCI-Express hardware to support their requirements for PSTN access.

Sangoma has spent more than 20 years supporting data transport applications in military, aerospace, medical and other mission-critical applications. Says Sangoma Technologies president and CEO David Mandelstam, “Over the past two and a half years, we have been able to apply our manufacturing and design expertise in the voice and telephony market to the Asterisk space.”

Wildix is the largest distributor of VoIP products in Italy, as well as the manufacturer of a range of Asterisk-based PBX (News - Alert) systems.

“We take our supplier partnerships very seriously because our international reputation is clearly at stake,” said Wildix’s CEO, Stefano Osler, one of the authors of the first Italian book about Asterisk: “Asterisk e Dintorni - The Guide to VoIP Open Source in Italian.”

“The Wildix range of Asterisk-based PBX systems is based on components of the highest quality and reliability as demanded by our European customers. We have selected Sangoma as our connectivity partner because of their product quality, reliability and performance. As our business continues to grow, Sangoma’s hardware will be used exclusively as the analog and E1 PCI card of choice.”

Signate is a provider of large scale and highly-available VoIP systems for enterprises and providers based on open source technologies.

”We are excited to standardize on Sangoma hardware because we have been extremely pleased with their products and service for many years,” said Paul Mahler, Signate CEO and author of the book: VoIP Telephony with Asterisk.

“Sangoma’s commitment to the entire emerging telecom industry fits very well with our software-neutral vision for the future of this industry,” adds Jim Van Meggelen, president and CTO of Core Telecom Innovations and one of the authors of the O’Reilly book: Asterisk-The Future of Telephony.
