Open source CRM software provider SugarCRM is making it easier for users to get started, and succeed, with using their offering thanks to a new "SugarCRM (News - Alert) for Dummies" reference guide available for purchase now.
The new offering is a how-to guide for SugarCRM and helps readers to find out how to install, use and administer the application.
Written by CRM expert Karen Fredricks, the new book is the latest "how to" book to be added to the "For Dummies" series published by John Wiley & Sons (News - Alert).
With the book, readers can find out about the company, their open source software, and how they can utilize the application to improve sales and customer relationships.
Fredricks has written other "Dummies" titles on topics like Act! and Microsoft (News - Alert).
Using the guide, readers can also narrow down the version of Sugar that best suits their usage needs an
d find out about tools that can help improve their performance.
In the book, readers will find detailed instructions and explanations for installing and navigating SugarCRM; managing sales contacts, leads and opportunities; executing and measuring marketing campaigns; using Sugar for customer support functions; running Sugar in a mobile and offline environment and customizing and extending Sugar.

Most recently, the company announced the release of Cloud Connectors to allow for company and contact data residing in other cloud environments to be called and presented in SugarCRM. Also included as part of the new offering is, "Sugar Feeds" which provide notices and alerts based on activity happening within SugarCRM.
John Roberts (News - Alert), CEO of SugarCRM, said that the features provide “immediacy and interaction” from Web applications.
