iEnterprises Launches Mobile Edge Express for SugarCRM

By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributor

iEnterprises has introduced Mobile Edge Express for SugarCRM (News - Alert), a “click and run” mobile application for small and medium businesses (SMB) that would like to get information from their SugarCRM on their BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones -- all on an on-demand model.

Mobile Edge Express is said to be one of the industry’s first mobile and turn-key software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) applications for the SMB market. It allows users to trial and purchase the pre-written mobile application without upfront hardware costs, upgrades or licensing fees.

iEnterprises (News - Alert) officials explained that by downloading Mobile Edge for SugarCRM, users gain access to SugarCRM information such as their contacts, opportunities and cases when they are away from the office. Also, users can conveniently pay monthly or on a yearly contract.

The application does not require IT support, and according to officials, users can download their application in three steps, and within 10 minutes.

In addition, self service installation or provisioning enables the daily users of the application to solve their mobile challenges by clicking, downloading and running Mobile Edge Express from the iEnterprises web site or from SugarExchange, the SugarCRM Online Marketplace, according to officials.

John Carini, CEO at iEnterprises, noted that the small and medium business market has been embracing the SaaS model in CRM for years, yet SMBs have been caught “stranded, burdened and underserved when it comes to getting access to their CRM wirelessly.”

“Mobile Edge Express for SugarCRM helps small and medium businesses become more productive, make better business decisions, and resolve customer issues while away from the office--right out of the gate,” he added in a press statement.

Indicating that Mobile CRM is the next frontier for businesses to gain competitive advantage, Paul Oh, director of Technology Alliances at SugarCRM, commented “This solution provides SugarCRM users an affordable, full featured solution for their BlackBerry smartphones that extends customer information to their wireless workforce.”
