By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Provider of open source CRM, SugarCRM  added an all new reporting functionality to their Sugar Suite offering, JasperReports, from provider of open source Business Intelligence, JasperSoft Corporation.

The new offering provides an open source reporting engine that gives Sugar Suite users the ability to easily generate reports based on customer interaction and various other transactions. The reports, available in a customizable and highly visual format, make it easier for users throughout a company to access data when they need it and in many formats such as: Microsoft (News - Alert) Excel, Word, PDF and or web-based.

Clint Oram, Co-Founder and GM of Sugar Online and Sugar CRM said in a statement to the press, "By combining Sugar Suite and JasperReports, businesses can experience excellent transactional reporting in an extremely high quality visual layout that will drive improved marketing, sales and customer satisfaction."

And according to the news release, "Jasper Reports for SugarCRM seamlessly integrates into existing IT infrastructure and communicates with other third party applications using HTTP or Java APIs. Corporate data can be pulled from existing databases with JDBC, POJO, and XML."

The solution, avalibale for download on Sugar Exchange has proven successful since first becoming avalibale in March and has won a Sugar Forge Editor's Pick and SugarForge Project of the Month for June.
